Davao region's No. 1 most wanted nabbed

BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested the No. 1 most wanted person in the Davao region in Calinan area, Davao City on Tuesday, March 4.

The suspect was identified as Selva.

Selva was apprehended on a warrant for three counts of qualified rape of a minor issued by the Davao City Regional Trial Court Branch 12 dated Feb. 12, 2025. The court recommended no bail for the suspect.

Selva is under the custody of Davao City Police Office Calinan Police Station 10 for proper disposition.

The Police Regional Office-11 said Selva’s arrest is a proof of their relentless campaign against criminality and other lawless elements.

Meanwhile, police have apprehended the seventh most wanted person in Surigao del Sur.

Police Regional Office 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer identified the suspect as Loy, 44.

Loy was arrested on a warrant for robbery in Barobo, Surigao del Sur. The warrant dated June 21, 2018 was issued by the court in Lianga, Surigao del Sur.

The suspect was taken to the Barobo Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
