Angel Locsin's father passes away, 98

Angel M. Colmenares, father of actress Angel Locsin, has passed away. He was 98.

Angel's family confirmed the news to ABS-CBN.

A report from ABS-CBN stated that Angel's family requested privacy while expressing gratitude to those who sent condolence messages.

Angel has updated her Facebook profile by adding a photo with her father. On March 6, the actress wrote on Facebook: "We love you, Daddy Angel. Forever in our hearts."

This is a developing story.

In 2019, Angel showed her love to her father once again when she fulfilled her promise to buy him a beachfront property.

“Little by little, I’m almost there to fulfill my father’s and now, my dream as well, to have a place where we can spend time as a family while being able to preserve the beauty of nature,” she said.

Angel added: “I don’t post stuff like this, but this became possible because of you guys so I feel you deserve to know that by giving me a chance in this world, your kindness and love has done wonders to our lives."

In Sept. 2021, Angel's father battled Covid-19 and recovered.
