US composer Diane Warren on losing at Oscars for 16th time: 'I'm coming back. You can't get rid of me'

For the 16th time, popular American composer Diane Warren lost at the 97th Oscar Awards, which were held in Los Angeles, California on March 2.

Diane, 68, was nominated in the best original song category for the song "The Journey" from the movie "The Six Triple Eight." But she lost to "El Mal," the theme song from the movie "Emilia Perez."

Despite her loss, Diane remained positive and hopeful about winning an Oscar.

“It is what it is. I’m happy to be here… I’m the Terminator of the Oscars — I’ll be back. I’m coming back. You can’t get rid of me," said Diane on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Diane was first nominated at the Oscars for the No. 1 song "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" from the movie "Mannequin" in 1987.

Other pop songs Diane wrote that received Oscar nods were "Because You Loved Me" (1996), "How Do I Live" (1997), "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" (1998), "Music of my Heart" (1999), and "There You'll Be" (2001).
