No classes in Cavite on March 5 due to extreme heat

CAVITE – Gov. Athena Tolentino announced the suspension of classes on March 5, 2025, due to the expected extreme heat.

In a Facebook announcement, Tolentino said classes are cancelled in all levels across public and private schools.

The governor also reminded her constituents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, wear light clothing, check on vulnerable individuals, and care for pets.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, in its heat index forecast released at 5 p.m. on March 4, predicts that Sangley Point, Cavite will experience temperatures reaching 39 degrees Celsius on March 5.
