NBI rescues 9 women from videoke bar in Pangasinan

The National Bureau of Investigation recently raided a videoke bar allegedly being used as front for prostitution in Sual, Pangasinan.

The agency conducted a surveillance after receiving reports that the nightspot is pimping women to customers for P2,000.

These reports were confirmed and an operation was mounted where nine women, including three minors, aged 14 to 17, were rescued.

The NBI also found out that the nightspot was operating without a business permit.

Three individuals working in the bar were arrested and face human trafficking and child abuse charges.
