Vice went on an information campaign on current events on the popular noontime program "It's Showtime" on March 4. The contestants who provided the correct answer won P2000 in cash.
One of the contestants was asked which government body is responsible for creating laws. The male contestant answered the legislative branch.
Then Vice Ganda commented: "Legislative. (Legislative. That's the branch of Congress and then the Senate. Their job is to make laws. So what we should vote for in Congress and the Senate are those who will make laws, those who know how to make laws, and have a plan to make laws.)
(Because what Congress and the Senate really do is make laws, not provide aid.)
"Yun talaga ang pangunahin nila. Yung paggawa, lawmaking sila. Kaya dapat gagawa sila ng batas. Hindi mamimigay sila ng pera. Lawmaking po ito, ha. (That's really their main thing. When they do, they're lawmaking. So they should make laws. They won't give away money. This is lawmaking, huh)," he added.
Later, Vice also asked contestants on the Department of Public Works and Highways and ABS-CBN.
