Power interruption expected this week due to maintenance activities — Meralco
The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced that several areas in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Bulacan will experience power interruptions from March 5 to 10 due to scheduled maintenance activities.
On March 5 and 6, Barangay Punturin in Valenzuela and several areas in Batangas City will be affected by maintenance work. On the same days, San Pascual in Batangas, Binondo in San Nicolas, Tondo, Nangka in Marikina City, Bagong Pag-asa in Quezon City, and Dasmariñas in Cavite will also experience service interruptions.
On March 7, Lower Bicutan and Signal Village in Taguig will also undergo maintenance work. On the same day, Dagat-Dagatan in Navotas and Malabon will experience brownouts for the same reason.
On March 7 and 9, the Mall of Asia (MOA) Complex in Pasay City will have its scheduled interruption, along with Meycauayan and Marilao in Bulacan.
On March 8, Bacoor in Cavite and Cainta in Rizal are expected to experience a power decline. On March 9 and 10, Cabuyao in Laguna will also be affected.
The power interruptions are due to several planned activities by the electric utility company, including equipment replacements and additional lighting protection, repair works, line reconductoring works, installation of poles, and relocation of facilities. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
