Palace confirms leadership change at Presidential Security Command
Malacañang has confirmed that Brig. Gen. Peter Burgonio has been designated as the acting commander of the Presidential Security Command (PSC), after his predecessor was terminated from the post.
A document stating the designation of Burgonio, which the Palace confirmed, also showed the termination of outgoing PSC commander Maj. Gen. Jesus Nelson Morales from the post, effective Tuesday, March 4.
Burgonio, an officer from the Philippine Army, was also the new PSC commander as of March 4.

The Palace's confirmation came a week after Malacañang said Morales remained as the PSC chief.
On Feb. 25, Palace press officer, Undersecretary Claire Castro addressed the rumor that there has been a change of leadership in the Presidential Security Command, saying Morales remained as the head of the command.
Formerly known as Presidential Security Group (PSG), the PSC is a highly trained and dedicated unit of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) responsible for the protection of the President and other high-ranking officials.
The command is stationed at the Malacañan Palace.
