Malacañang has accepted the courtesy resignation of PTV-4 general manager Toby Nebrida, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Jay Ruiz disclosed.

Ruiz made the announcement during a Palace briefing on Tuesday, March 4, where he also bared Nebrida's successor.
"I would like to announce that we have currently… inayos po natin iyong appointment sa PTV-4. We have accepted the courtesy resignation of former General Manager Toby Nebrida and we already talked to former Executive Secretary Manong Oca Orbos to be his replacement as OIC (officer-in-charge) in the state-run/owned PTV-4," Ruiz said.
"He’s going to be the general manager of PTV-4 as OIC. The papers are in the process and we are expecting a smooth transition in PTV-4," Ruiz added.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin has ordered all undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, and directors in the PCO to submit their courtesy resignation in light of the change in its leadership last week.
In a memorandum dated Feb. 25, Bersamin said the move aims to give the new PCO Secretary Jay Ruiz a "free hand" in performing his duties and functions.
