P8.4-M shabu seized in Iloilo City in February

ILOILO CITY — Suspected shabu valued at P8.4 million was seized in this city last month.

The Iloilo City Police Office said in a report on Tuesday, March 4, that they recovered 1,234.6 grams of shabu from 64 drug pushers in 51 buy-bust operations.

Police said 14 suspects were high-value individuals (HVI).

“I commend our dedicated operatives for their unwavering commitment and relentless efforts in our campaign against illegal drugs,” said ICPO Director Police Col. Kim Legada.

Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, ICPO spokesperson, said the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) under Police Capt. Ryan Inot confiscated 329 grams of shabu.

Police Station 4 seized 276 grams, Police Station 7 recovered 103 grams, 81 grams by Police Station 5, 79 grams by Police Station 2, and 78 grams by Police Station 10.
