A laborer was arrested by members of the Las Piñas City Police's Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) for two counts of rape and three counts of acts of lasciviousness in Southern Leyte on March 3.
Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandro Tafalla identified the suspect as alias “Mich,” 47. He was arrested in Libagon, Leyte in coordination with the Libagon Municipal Police Station at around 11:20 a.m.
Tafalla said "Mich," who was Top 3 most wanted person, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Las Piñas Family Court, Branch 2, for two counts of rape, three counts of acts of lasciviousness and lascivious conduct in relation to Section 5(B) of R.A. 7610 issued on Feb. 11, 2022.
He said the court had set a bail of P324,000 for three counts of acts of lasciviousness and P 200,000 for lascivious conduct while no bail was recommended for the crime of rape.
The city police chief said the suspect was brought to the Las Piñas City Police Station after his arrest and was detained at the police custodial facility.
