Father arrested for raping daughter in Rizal

A 47-year-old man was arrested for repeatedly raping and threatening his own daughter in Baras, Rizal.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspect as “Ferdy,” the province’s No. 1 most wanted person.

He was arrested by the tracker team of Baras Municipal Police Station in an operation in Barangay San Juan on Monday, March 3.

The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 79, for Qualified Rape by Sexual Assault (2 counts), with a recommended bail of P200,000 per count.

Based on the investigation, the first incident occurred on October 23, 2023, while the victim was asleep, followed by another on April 13, 2024, after which the suspect threatened the victim.

Authorities also found that the abuse happened multiple times, according to the victim.

The suspect is now detained at the Baras Custodial Facility.
