Bacoor City cancels in-person classes due to extreme heat

CAVITE – The local government unit (LGU) of Bacoor announced the suspension of in-person classes on Tuesday, March 4, due to extreme heat.

Memorandum Circular No. 001-2025 signed by Mayor Strike B. Revilla ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes from preschool to Grade 12 in public and private schools.

Schools are advised to shift to modular distance learning, assign projects, or facilitate performance tasks or make-up classes as alternative learning arrangements in accordance with the Department of Education guidelines.

Class suspension in colleges, universities, and basic education schools with scheduled examinations, meanwhile, will be at the discretion of their respective administrations.

The Sangguniang Panglungsod passed the city resolution on class suspension on March 3, following the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
