Arjo Atayde one of the panelists in Manila International Film Festival in LA

Quezon City first district Congressman and actor Juan Carlos “Arjo” Atayde will participate in the 2025 Manila International Film Festival from March 5 to 8 as a panelist on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
He will be joining actress G Toengi, producer Winston Emano, NBCU Launch VP TV Programming Robert Baltazar, talent manager Chris Lee, actress Jennielyn Abrot, and casting director Christian Bustamante as one of the breaking into the Hollywood Industry panelists.
Atayde, 34, who starred in the action film Topakk of Nathan Studios, expressed his gratitude to the Manila International Film Festival for choosing them to be part of the program as one of the best speakers about filmmaking.
“It is a great honor to share my full knowledge as one of the panelists in the Manila International Film Festival in Los Angeles,” Atayde, the eldest son of veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez-Atayde and businessman Art Atayde, said.
The husband of Eat Bulaga host Maine Mendoza-Atayde is looking forward to meeting their fans in California, mostly from the Filipino community, during the event presented by Metro Manila Film Festival, Metro Manila Development Authority, and PAGCOR that will also hold a free concert.

Meanwhile, Atayde congratulated his personally funded basketball team — The Quezon City District 1 Warriors — for claiming the 2025 Tokai Fil Basketball Invitational Games Championship after beating the Nagoya Gakuin University, 70-56, last week in Nagoya, Japan.
This is also the second time the D1 Warriors won an overseas title since winning the Mutant 2024 Cahaya Lestari Surabaya Cup International Invitational League Under-23 Senior Basketball Boys’ Division crown in Indonesia last June.
The basketball squad coached by two-time PBA champion coach Derrick Pumaren is one of the sports programs supported by Atayde, fencing, football, volleyball, and basketball through their D1 project.
