BACOLOD CITY – Animal welfare group BACH Project PH slammed the recent poisoning of stray dogs and cats in Barangay Mansilingan here.

“We're heartbroken to share that these animals that we've been feeding in East Homes 5 were reportedly poisoned and their bodies were taken away by the garbage collectors,” they said in a Facebook post over the weekend.
BACH Project PH stressed that they do not deserve this kind of treatment.
They said that they tried so hard to find them loving homes, but no one wanted them.
“These poor souls had no shelter, rain or shine, they endured everything. They'd be soaked and shivering in the rain, yet they still wagged their tails when our feeders came with food,” they said.
They urged residents to reach out to them if they witnesses saw anything about the incident.
BACH Project PH posted a photo of a homeless dog on social media who is in terrible pain after his eyeball popped out.
They said that the dog urgently needs surgery and asked for help to cover the cost of treatment.
“He’s scared, suffering, and has no one else. We can’t let him go through this alone,” they said.
BACH Project PH has been involved in rescuing stray and injured animals here.
