Romualdez on Monday, March 31, said that such an occasion was "a time of thanksgiving, reflection and renewal of faith".
According to Romualdez, Eid’l Fitr is a reminder of unity, compassion, and generosity, which are the values that bind us together as a nation.
"It is through these principles that we foster understanding and strengthen the ties between all Filipinos, regardless of faith and background," he said.
Romualdez hoped that the devotion and sacrifices made throughout the pacred period bring forth abundant blessings, strengthened faith and renewed hope for all.
"The month-long fasting is not only a test of discipline and endurance but also a reaffirmation of one’s spiritual commitment," he added.
Romualdez also acknowledged the contribution of the Filipino Muslim community, saying its members play a vital role in shaping our nation's future.
Their commitment to peace, progress and nation-building is deeply valued, he said.
"As we continue working towards an inclusive and harmonious society, let us recognize the contributions of our Muslim brothers and sisters in fostering economic growth, cultural richness, and national unity," he said.
In the House of Representatives, Romualdez said, lawmakers would reaffirm their commitment to policies that promote equality, respect and opportunity for all.
"We will continue to support initiatives that uplift Muslim Filipinos and ensure that your rights and aspirations are safeguarded," he said.
"May this Eid be filled with joy, love and togetherness. Let us celebrate this occasion with open hearts, remembering that our diversity is our strength, and that true progress is achieved when we stand together as one people," he added.
