CAMP FLORENDO, City of San Fernando, La Union – Police Brig. Gen. Lou Evangelista, Police Regional Office-1 (Ilocos) chief, has ordered an immediate investigation on the viral video of police officers from the Pasuquin Municipal Police Station in Ilocos Norte who allegedly engaged in acts of violence against individuals inside the police station.

In a statement, Evangelista said that any violation of Philippine National Police rules and standards committed by police officers, once proven, will be addressed with utmost seriousness.
He urged the public to remain calm and allow an impartial investigation of the incident.
Evangelista assured that the PNP will remain committed in ensuring transparency throughout the process and will provide updates of the case.
According to a viral post on social media, the stepfather of the poster requested help from police officers after being assaulted by an unidentified individual.
The expected protection from officers turned into physical abuse of the individual and the police also detained his companions, including a 14-year-old.
