A 47-year-old man was arrested by the Marikina City Police on Friday, March 28, for raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter in Barangay Fortune, the Eastern Police District (EPD) said.
The suspect was identified as "Marlon," listed as the No. 7 most wanted person of the EPD.
Marlon was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Family Court, Branch 7, of Marikina City for two counts of Acts of Lasciviousness and violation of RA 7610 on March 13.
The suspect was also presented with a warrant of arrest for committing theft, issued by the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 76, of Marikina City on Feb. 7, 2020.
The police said that the suspect had been repeatedly abusing his live-in-partner's daughter from 2022 to December 2023, prompting her to report him to the police.
EPD district director Col. Villamor Tuliao commended the Marikina Police for Marlon's arrest.

“Walang lugar sa aming distrito ang mga may atraso sa batas at sa karapatang pantao. Tinitiyak namin na po-protektahan ang mamamayan sa anumang krimen lalong-lalo na ang mga inosenteng kabataan na hindi pa kayang ipaglaban ang kanilang sarili sa ganitong karahasan (Our district has no place for law offenders and human rights violators.
