
A 28-year-old internet installer was arrested after he attempted to hug a student in Paco, Manila.
According to the Manila Police District- Ermita Police Station, Reymark Cabaddu, a Wi-Fi installer of telecom firm, was apprehended after being accused of attempting to hug and make inappropriate acts towards a 19-year-old student, the complainant.
The incident occurred on March 26 when the victim requested Cabaddu's assistance with her internet connection.
After completing the job, Cabaddu reportedly followed her and attempted to engage her in personal conversation, asking for her Facebook account and whether she had a boyfriend.
He also tried to search her account and placed his arm on her shoulder.
When she stood up to leave, Cabaddu allegedly attempted to hug her.
The victim fled the area and called her brother for help.
She later sought assistance from the building guard who detained the suspect.
Cabaddu was then brought to Barangay officials and subsequently to the Paz Police Community Precinct (PCP).
Cabaddu was apprised of his rights and the charges against him.
A complaint for acts of lasciviousness was prepared and forwarded to the City Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
