CEBU CITY – A 51-year-old businessman was gunned down in broad daylight in Barangay Ilihan, Tabogon town, Cebu province on Monday, March 31.

Deonisio Montejo Dosdos Jr., 51, owner of Dendonz Hardware and Construction Supplies, succumbed to multiple bullet wounds.
The attack happened just a few meters from the victim’s hardware store at 9:40 a.m., police said.
Investigation showed that the victim and a worker had just arrived in the store onboard a car from his house in Barangay Manghase in Tabogon when an unidentified man driving a motorcycle arrived and inquired about the prices of construction materials.
The man left the store without buying and the victim also left the store to bring his car to a carwash.
The suspect opened fire at the victim’s car with a .45 caliber pistol a few meters away from the store.
Dosdos was wounded but managed to get off his vehicle and seek help. The suspect continued firing at the victim who slumped to the ground. The vehicle rammed a fence on the side of the road.
The assailant fled. Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
