SJ Belangel and Jeong Seong-Woo connived in a wild finish as the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus slipped past the Seoul SK Knights, 75-74, in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Sunday, March 30.

The former Ateneo star hit two of his three attempts from the free throw area before Jeong drilled in the game-winning triple to complete the team’s remarkable come-from-behind win.
They trailed to the Knights, 73-70, at the 28.2 mark of the fourth quarter, but the Pegasus refused to call it a night and staged a blazing fightback much to the delight of their supporters.
Seoul tried to force an extension with a Hail Mary shot but missed its target badly.
Belangel went impressive anew as he tallied 14 points, two rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in 33 minutes of play. It was his fourth straight game with double-digit scoring since last week.
Andrew Nicholson and Kim Yun-Ji put up 27 and 18 points, respectively, for Daegu, which improved to 26-25 at fifth spot.
Juan Gómez de Liaño, for his part, registered five points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal for the Knights.
Meanwhile, Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers came through with a second-quarter barrage and crushed the slumping Busan KCC Egis, 97-72, to regain their winning ways.
Tamayo stood out for Changwon with 19 points to go with seven rebounds in a 22-minute of action – a better output this time after his quiet nine points in their 79-78 loss to the Knights the light time.
The Sakers hiked their slate to 32-19 at second while the Egis remained at eighth with a 17-33 record.
In another game, Fil-American Ethan Alvano dropped 25 points, four rebounds, six assists, and one block to help the Wonju DB Promy beat the Seoul Samsung Thunders, 85-76.
