Kim Soo-hyun to hold press conference amid growing issue about late actress Kim Sae-ron

Embattled Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun will finally address the dating issue related to the late actress Kim Sae-ron.

On March 30, his agency, Gold Medalist, announced that he will be holding a press conference on March 31.

“First of all, we apologize for causing concern due to recent events. We have arranged this opportunity to meet with the reporters in person and speak to them,” said Gold Medalist, Korean media reported.

It added, “On this day, LKB & Partners, the legal representative of our company, and actor Kim Soo-hyun will be announcing their position.”

However, Kim Soo-hyun will not be taking questions from the media during the press conference.

“In addition, we would like to ask for your understanding in advance that there will be no separate Q&A time other than the statement of position,” Gold Medalist said.

The press conference will be held at 4:30 p.m. KST at Stanford Hotel in Mapo District, Seoul.

Kim Soo-hyun will personally address the issue three weeks after YouTube channel HoverLab (Garosero Research Institute) started discussing the dating and debt issues involving Kim Sae-ron.

Kim Sae-ron was found dead on Feb. 16, Kim Soo-hyun’s birthday.

The major issue is whether Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor. Kim Sae-ron, in a message in March last year, stated that she dated Kim Soo-hyun for six years from 2015 to 2021.

Gold Medalist admitted that Kim Soo-hyun dated her but said it was from 2019 to 2020 after she became an adult.

Recently, HoverLab released messages between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron that claimed that they dated when she was a minor.

This prompted fans of Kim Soo-hyun to issue a statement, urging the actor to come forward and address the issue.

LKB & Partners is part of the prosecution pursuing the impeachment of Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.
