'Boss' Alden Richards gets honest about wealth and politics

Recently, Alden disclosed that he received an invitation to enter politics, a move that could allow him to leverage his influence for public service and make a difference in his community.

"There have been offers to run, but personally, at this point, I respectfully decline because, even though there are clamors for me to run for politics, I can help people without being part of the government," said Alden during the contract signing for his partnership with Viva Group of Companies in Pasig City recently. 

Alden added: "Not because meron akong hind naririnig na maganda sa system. Hindi yun. (Not because I haven't heard anything good about the system. That's not it.) It's about the platform I have right now, which is more than enough to reach out to people who are in need. 

"So far, masaya ako rito at nama-maximize ko yung pagtulong. Nagagawa ko rin yung mga bagay na gusto ko. But if the question is about running for politics. For now, ayoko po. Baka for good. (So far, I'm happy here, and I'm maximizing my contribution. I'm also able to do the things I want. But if the question is about running for politics. For now, I don't want to. Maybe for good)," the hunk actor said.

When questioned about his financial standing during the interview, Alden gracefully sidestepped the topic, opting not to delve into the details of his wealth. Instead, he redirected the conversation, maintaining an air of discretion around his financial matters.

"I invoke my right to self-incrimination," Alden laughed. Then he answered again: "Hindi naman po ako yung tao na pinagkakalat kung ano ang naipundar ko. It's for them to interpret and discover. Pero hindi ko po talaga siya pwede i-disclose. (I'm not the person spreading what I have. It's for them to interpret and discover. But I really can't disclose.)

These days, Alden is referred to as "boss" after signing a significant partnership with the Viva Group of Companies.
