Partners Ice Seguerra and Liza Dino-Seguerra took to social media to report about missing items during a flight from the US to Manila last Wednesday.

On Facebook, Ice said that his wife Liza had just arrived from the US via the Philippine Airlines flight when she discovered the missing items.

The missing items were a laptop and an Apple watch inside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) checked luggage.

Ice wrote: "Hello NAIA 1! Kakarating lang ng asawa ko from the US via PAL flight. May nawawala pong dalawang items sa loob ng box at maleta niya. Pwede kaya makausap yung security niyo diyan? Para ma check yung mga lost items. (Hello NAIA 1! My wife just arrived from the US via a PAL flight. Two items are missing inside the box, including his suitcase. Can I talk to your security there? To check the lost items)."

Later, a representative from the PAL reached out to Ice via Facebook.

"Dear Mr. Seguerra. We understand how important your belongings are, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Rest assured, we take such matters seriously, and our team is here to assist in looking into this. We’ve reached out to you via Instagram to gather more details and support you in the investigation. We’ll do our best to help!" said PAL.

Liza followed up with PAL on the lost items. She said the missing items were gifts for her husband.

"What’s our next step? Your staff reached out and asked if we filed a report. We discovered the lost items when we got home. It's an Apple watch and laptop," she wrote.

The former head of the Film Development Council of the Philippines said her suitcase was slashed using a knife.

"Wala akong dalang carry on suitcase and may weight limit na rin ang personal bags. Hanggang 2kgs lang. Chinecheck na nila sa gate. Sealed suitcase yun and box. Naslash yung maleta parang knife ginamit. (I didn't have a carry-on suitcase, and there is a weight limit for personal bags. Only up to 2kg. They checked it at the gate. It was a sealed suitcase and box. The suitcase was slashed as if a knife had been used)," Liza added.

Netizens slammed airport authorities for alleged negligence. Some comments:
