Davao City Police Office chief Police Col. Hansel Marantan said on Saturday, March 29, that the “Rody at 80: Global Filipino Solidarity as One Davao” birthday celebration for former President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City was generally peaceful.

“The peaceful and orderly conduct of this significant event, with zero incidents, is a testament to the strong collaboration between the people and the security forces,” Marantan said.
Marantan said that awareness and teamwork of locals and visitors helped keep the event safe.
He congratulated the Davao Security and Safety Cluster, dedicated law enforcement personnel, and all other agencies involved in ensuring the safety of the people and the event's success.
Marantan said that the effective collaboration among the police, military, local government, and private security reinforces Davao City's reputation as a model for discipline and security. He said the event's success demonstrates the city’s commitment to peace and order.
“Let us remain watchful and proactive. Safety is a shared responsibility, and our collective efforts to foster a culture of alertness, respect, and cooperation will ensure that our city remains peaceful and secure,” Marantan said.
