Police Major Ryan Villasario, Don Salvador Benedicto police chief, said that the victims were on their way to the town proper from this city for an outing.
The driver allegedly lost control over the vehicle while approaching a cruve and plummeted into a 40 to 50-meter deep ravine.
Rescue operations lasted for about an hour as some victims were stuck inside the vehicle. All seven victims were brought to a hospital here.
The police officers were assigned to the Bacolod City Police Office, according to Villasario.
