4 cops wounded in gunfight while serving warrants of arrest


GUINAYANGAN, Quezon – Four policemen were wounded in a shootout while serving warrants of arrest against three wanted persons in Barangay Manggagawa, this town, on Friday morning, March 28.

Wounded were Police Chief Master Sgt. Crisologo Castillo, 44, of the Guinayangan police station; Police Executive Master Sgt. Alex Maigue and Police Staff Sgt. John James Red of the Police Regional Office 4-A Regional Intelligence Unit, and Police Chief Master Sgt. Jalmasco Enraca  of the Bicol Regional Intelligence Division.

The suspects –  Richard Rabe, Roy Aramillo, and Magno Rivera – face murder cases.

Their warrants dated Jan. 20, 2023, were issued by Ligao City, Albay Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Presiding Judge Edwin Ma-Alat.

The court recommended no bail for the suspects who fled during the encounter and the subjects of a manhunt.

The wounded lawmen were treated and recovering.
