EDRIAN Rementilla (seated, second from left, back row) is arraigned before the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 7 on Thursday, March 27.

Edrian T. Rementilla, alias Ryan Rementilla and Oliver Fuentes, was presented before the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 7 on Thursday, March 27, for arraignment.

During the proceedings, he admitted his involvement in the killing of Dominic, United Auctioneers Inc. Chief Executive Officer, in front of a hotel in Subic, Zambales on Nov. 28, 2018. Rementilla’s admission further solidified the case against Alan, also a businessman.

Following the hearing, Rementilla was committed to the Manila City Jail pursuant to the court’s order.

Rementilla was arrested on Saturday night, March 22, in Purok 16, Buhanginan Hills, Pala-o, Iligan City by the Police Regional Office-3 and 10 Regional Special Operations Units in coordination with the Iligan City Police Office based on a warrant issued by the court with no bail recommended.

The PRO-3 caught Alan in a joint operation with the Royal Malaysia Police on Saturday afternoon, March 22, at the Cobra Rugby Club in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Efforts to bring Alan back to the country are progressing as the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia is currently processing the necessary travel documents for his repatriation.

PRO-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that all those involved in the crime are held accountable.

“This latest development underscores our dedication to pursuing justice. The guilty plea of Rementilla strengthens the case against the mastermind, and with the pending repatriation of Alan Dennis Sytin, we are one step closer to achieving full closure for the family of Dominic Sytin.”
