P3.74-M 'shabu' seized from top drug suspect in Laguna, says PDEA

Anti-narcotics agents seized on Thursday, March 27, P3,740,000 worth of suspected shabu following the arrest of a drug suspect included in the high-value target list during a buy-bust operation in Calamba City, Laguna.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said that the suspect alias ‘Irene’ was collared at around 5:00 p.m. at Bucal Bypass Road, Purok 3, Barangay Bucal.

Aside from the 550 grams of suspected shabu, the authorities also confiscated the buy-bust money from the 42-year old female suspect during the operation.

Alias ‘Irene’ face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’

The operation was carried out by the PDEA Regional Office 4A Special Enforcement Team 2 and 1, PDEA Laguna Provincial Office and Calamba City Police Station.
