An animal welfare organization condemned the attack on Tiger for stealing a piece of meat.

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society said they are deeply outraged by the brutal stabbing of Tiger.

It strongly condemned the  horrific act of animal cruelty, and appalled that anyone could subject an innocent animal to such senseless violence.

The incident was posted online and PAWS said they have reached out to the original poster and coordinating with a local animal welfare organization for action.

PAWS said they will continue to work closely with them to ensure urgent and effective legal measures are taken against the individual responsible for this atrocity.

“We will not tolerate such cruelty and will pursue all legal avenues to ensure the perpetrator faces full accountability.”

PAWS stressed that animal cruelty is a crime.

“Those who commit such violent acts against animals pose a danger to society as a whole. Abusers of animals are often capable of inflicting harm on humans as well. By taking a stand against animal cruelty, we are fighting for the safety and well-being of people. Standing up against animal abuse is not just a moral obligation — it is a necessary step in creating a safer, more just society,” PAWS said.

PAWS urged people who have witnessed any act of animal cruelty to report the incident to them.

“Every report and case filed is a vital step in the fight against cruelty. PAWS is always ready to support witnesses willing to file a case and ensure justice is served for animals.”

Tiger was laid to rest on Friday, March 28, at the Animal Kingdom Foundation in Capas, Tarlac.

Police apprehended the suspect and faces appropriate charges.
