Belmonte presented her party's candidates for congressmen: Arjo Atayde for District 1, Ralph Tulfo for District 2, Franz Pumaren for District 3, Martin Rillo for District 4, PM Vargas for Distirct 5, and Marivic Co-Pilar for District 6.
In her speech, Belmonte said that she aims to register all QCitizens in PhilHealth in her last term.
“Aking layunin, ma-enroll lahat ng QCitizens sa PhilHealth, walang naiiwan kahit walang binabayad dapat naka-enroll sa PhilHealth (My goal is to enroll all QCitizens in Phil Health, those who are left behind even if they are paying should be enrolled in Phil Health),” she said.
“Para mabawasan ang inyong pag-alala kapag may sakit,'yan promise 'yan ng inyong lingkod sa darating na tatlong taon (To reduce your worries when you are sick, that is your servant's promise for the next three years),” she added.
Belmonte cited some of the city government’s accomplishments during the past six years, including the free bus services, online transactions to avoid long queues and fixers.
“Ang target natin na damihan pa ay ang 23 services online real property tax payment hanggang scholarship para wala nang papilla sa cityhall (We target to increase the 23 services online, from real property tax payments to scholarships, so that there is no more hassle at city hall) ,” she said.
“Ang dream ko ay maglaho lahat ng fixer. In short, ipapakulong ko lahat ng fixer. Kaya kung fixer kayo, ingat na po kayo bilang na po ang araw ninyo (My dream is to make all fixers disappear. In short, I will put all fixers in jail. So if you are a fixer, be careful, your days are numbered),” she added.
The incumbent mayor also assured the QCitizens that the funds are for the city only.
“Napapakita ko naman sa inyo na pag nadadagdagan ang pondo ng lungsod, sa inyo din naman napupunta ito…hindi po natin kinukupit, hindi po natin iniuwi, hindi po tayo nagpapagawa ng palasyo, malalaking bahay. Parehas lang po ang buhay natin sapagkat ang tanging nagpapasaya sa kin ay tumaas ang angat ng mga buhay ng ating minamahal na QCitizens (I can show you that when the city's funds increase, it also goes to you...we don't steal, we don't take it home, we don't build palaces and big houses. Our lives are the same because the only thing that makes me happy is the improvement in the lives of our beloved QCitizens),” Belmonte said.
