Makati LGU issues traffic advisory for Team United proclamation rally


The Makati City government has issued a traffic rerouting scheme for Friday, March 28, to Sunday, March 30, in preparation for the proclamation rally of the city's Team United candidates on Saturday, March 29.

According to the local government unit (LGU), the intersection of Chino Roces Avenue, Vito Cruz Extension, and Metropolitan Avenue is closed from March 28 starting at 4 p.m., to 2 a.m. of March 30.

The traffic rerouting scheme is divided into two options:

OPTION 1: (PUJ AND LIGHT VEHICLES)

Vehicles coming from Kalayaan Avenue heading towards Sen. Gil J. Puyat Ave. (northbound) may pass along Chino Roces Avenue heading to Sen. Gil J. Puyat Ave., then turn left at Davila Street, turn right to Zapote Street, turn right to Kamagong Street, then finally turn left to Chino Roces Avenue.

OPTION 2: (PRIVATE AND OTHER LIGHT VEHICLES)

Vehicles coming from Kalayaan Avenue heading towards Sen. Gil J. Puyat Ave. (northbound) may take Chino Roces Avenue heading to Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue, then turn right at Davila Street, turn left to Primo Rivera Street, turn right to Vito Cruz Extension, turn left to Sampaloc Street, turn left to Kamagong St. / or turn left to Estrella Street, then finally turn right to Chino Roces Avenue.

Meanwhile, vehicles coming from Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue heading towards PRC, The Circuit, OR J.P. Rizal Avenue (southbound) may turn right to Kamagong Street, then turn left to Ayala Extnension, cross Metropolitan Avenue to South Avenue, then finally turn left to JP Rizal.

"Please plan your trips accordingly and expect traffic adjustments in the area. Thank you for your cooperation!," the city government said.
