Kultura has a stand alone store at the second floor of the Greenhills Mall, and it’s a new, wonderfully open concept, with a layout that’s spread over two floors of merchandise. Visibly excited over the items and store design were Senator Grace Poe, Kultura’s Brand Ambassador Marian Rivera, and San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora. The mayor even joked about how his wife, Keri, would be excited to drop by the store, as she has been a loyal patron of other Kultura locations.. He was especially impressed by the barong Tagalogs.

The president of Kultura, Ivy Yap, was on hand to welcome the guests, the suppliers, and stakeholders of this 21-year-old brand. I was at their big 20th anniversary celebration in July of 2024, and it is rewarding to watch their locations multiply, the merchandise become more diverse and of impeccable quality, and see the growth of the retail concept expand beyond catering to tourists. It’s become an incubator and haven for Filipino retail merchandise and our MSMEs.

Entrepreneurs championing homegrown and sustainable products, who were first available exclusively online, have flocked to Kultura as their first physical outpost. Such is the case with Koleen Davila-Palaganas, whose Koko Slow Living Store products can now be found at Kultura Greenhills (other Kultura locations to follow). As a social enterprise, I highly recommend their natural aromatic soaps and candles, and Ayurvedic soaps.
