Senator Cynthia Villar kicked off her campaign alongside her team by attending Mass at San Ezekiel Moreno Church in Las Piñas City on Friday, March 28.
Villar, who is running for a congressional seat under the Nacionalista Party stated that her campaign will center on principles and advocacies.
As a full-term Senator, Villar gained recognition for her public service. She pledged to continue her advocacy for agriculture and the environment while also supporting her constituents through livelihood projects, infrastructure development, housing, and environmental protection—particularly in addressing the issue of flooding.
"I must continue the local projects I initiated when I first became congresswoman of Las Piñas and later as Senator, and introduce more programs to support my fellow Las Piñeros," Villar said.
She also emphasized that public service is a responsibility, not a privilege.
“We need local leaders who prioritize the welfare of our communities,” she added.
Villar’s congressional bid is a way of honoring her father’s legacy, as he dedicated many years of service to the city.
