Based on The World Happiness Report 2025, the Philippines ranks as the fourth happiest in Southeast Asia and 57th worldwide. Over 147 countries are included in the report.
To measure such data, The World Happiness Report makes use of the Gallup World Poll to keep track of certain activities and feelings people have recently done to figure out the nature of their caring behavior. Included among the questions asked are when was the last time someone volunteered for a cause or helped a stranger out.
In Southeast Asia, Singapore takes the top rank, placing 34th worldwide. It is followed by Vietnam (rank 46) and Thailand (rank 49). Malaysia places fifth (rank 64). For the entirety of Asia, Taiwan takes the top spot while the Philippines is at sixth, just above the Republic of Korea (rank 58). The Philippines' rank last year was 53rd on the global scale.
