Eala dropped a 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3 loss to hometown bet Jessica Pegula in the semifinals, but being in the Final Four alone already made her P19 million richer.

Filipina tennis star Alex Eala might have fallen short in the 2025 Miami Open but she has earned the respect and admiration of many tennis fans.

On top of all, the 19-year-old player earned her biggest paycheck yet.

Eala dropped a 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3 loss to hometown bet Jessica Pegula in the semifinals, but being in the Final Four alone already made her P19 million richer.

The pure Filipina is set to receive $332,160 after reaching the semis of the WTA1000 event.

Aside from showing her true potential and a handsome purse, the 5-foot-9 netter gained 390 points which improved her WTA ranking at No. 75.
