186 fugitives nabbed in Caraga


CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 reported on Friday, March 28, the arrest of 186 wanted individuals in the Caraga region from March 1 to 27, 2025.

 PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Christopher N. Abrahano said 40 were most wanted persons and 146 other wanted persons.

Seven were most wanted persons on  the regional level, 18 on the provincial level, and 15 on the city and municipal levels.

The Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office arrested 47, followed by the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) and Agusan del Sur PPO with 36 each; and Agusan del Norte PPO, Surigao del Norte PPO, and Dinagat Islands PPO recorded 35, 25, and seven.

Abrahano commended operating units for their arrest.

“PNP-Caraga will continue to intensify its efforts to track down and arrest wanted individuals, ensuring they face justice for the crimes they have committed,” he said.

The PRO-13 nabbed 481 wanted persons – 90 most wanted persons and 391 other wanted persons – from Jan. 1 to Feb. 28, PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said.

Wanted NPA leader falls in Surigao del Sur

Meanwhile, police apprehended a wanted New People’s Army (NPA) leader on Tuesday, March 25, in San Miguel town, Surigao del Sur.

Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) Director Col. Harry B. Domingo identified the suspect as Arj, Squad 1 leader of Platoon 1, DGF 30, of the Sub-Regional Committee Southland of the NEMRC and No. 1 most wanted person in Surigao del Sur.

Arj has seven arrest warrants issued by Regional Trial Courts (RTC) in Tandag City and Cantilan town between 2021 and 2022. He faces murder, multiple attempted murder, frustrated murder, attempted murder, and illegal logging cases.

Arj is detained at the San Miguel Municipal Police Station pending transfer to judicial authorities, Ometer said.
