Actress Maja Salvador Nunez acknowledged keeping her daughter Maria out of the public eye, expressing her desire to fully enjoy moments with her first child.

"Hindi ko pa talaga masasagot kung kailan ko siya ipe-face reveal...kung kailan ko siya ipapakita sa public. Siguro ibigay na muna nila sa akin. (I really can't answer when I'll reveal her face...when I'll show her to the public. Maybe they'll give it to me first)," said Maja when asked when her daughter's face would be revealed to the public, during the renewal of her endorsement for Beautederm at Solaire Resort North in Quezon City on March 27.

Maja, 36, explained why she hesitates to publicly share photos of her daughter at such a young age.

"Sa totoo lang, natatakot ako sa AI (artificial intelligence). Baka gamitin yung picture (kung saan). Maski ako hindi natin alam na ginagamit na pala nila mga yung picture o video. (To be honest, I'm afraid of AI (artificial intelligence). Maybe the picture will be used (somewhere). You may not know it, but they may be using our pictures or videos," she said.

Maja expressed gratitude to those who understood her request to avoid posting photos of her daughter.

"Hindi po talaga muna (namin ipinapakita si Maria). Hindi naman namin tinatakpan ng buo yung bata. May respeto pa rin naman yung mga tao kasi alam nila na hindi pa pwedeng i-post. (We don't expose her in public for now. We don't cover the child. People still respect it because they know it's not allowed to post her photos yet.)

"Kunyari biglang may nagpicture and then andyan naman yung mga kasamahan namin at makikiusap na huwag po muna ipost. Nire-respeto naman nila. (Someone suddenly takes a picture of her, and our companions ask them not to post it. They respect that request)," she added.

Maja recalled how her concern for her daughter's privacy started when she noticed some netizens were busy criticizing others.

"Marami tayong kaibigan sa industry na may mga anak. Tapos yung mga inosenteng bata pino-post lang sa social media dahil gusto ng magulang. Pero anak nila yun at proud sila. Pero kasi may mga perfect na tao na kung maka-bash ay wagas. (We have many friends in the industry who have children. These parents often post photos of their innocent kids on social media because they are proud of them. However, their children are sometimes subjected to criticism and negativity online.)

"Bilang ina, ayoko yun. Hindi ako patolera pero kung mangyayari yun, parang may lalabas na ibang Maja. Like halimbawa ipo-post ko yung photo ng anak ko tapos may feeling perfect na tao at magko-comment ng hindi maganda sa anak ko. (As a mother, I don't like that. I won't tolerate it, but if that happens, it seems like a different Maja will emerge. For example, I'll post a photo of my child and then someone who feels perfect will comment negatively about my child.)

"Yun ang iniiwasan ko. Inosente yung mga bata tapos iba-bash nila. Hindi ko na lang ise-share kung iba-bash lang naman nila. (That's what I avoid. The children are innocent and then they bash them. I won't share it if they just bash her)," the actress said.

Maja and her husband, Rambo Nunez, welcomed their first child, Maria, in Canada on May 31, 2024, after an intense 30-hour labor. After she gave birth, Maja returned to acting and hosting.

In March, she signed a contract with MQuest Ventures, TV5, and Cignal for several projects.

Maja said she will also take her to the set when she starts working in April. "Nasa dressing room lang siya."

She also said she and Rambo were thankful for the endorsements of her eight-month-old daughter.

"Yes, meron na siyang mga endorsements, and we are thankful to the brands who trust her even if they haven't seen her in full. Legs pa lang or likod ang ipinapakita ko. Puro back shots. Thankful kami because may mga new brands which we consider na bagong pamilya. (Yes, she already has endorsements, and we are thankful to the brands who trust her even if they haven't seen her in full. I only show her legs or back. It's all back shots. We are thankful because there are new brands we consider a new family.)

Maja was welcomed by Rhea Tan, the founder of Beautederm, at the contract signing event. This wasn’t the first time the actress had endorsed the beauty brand, as they have been friends for many years.

“Maja's pure heart is my favorite thing about her. I consider myself fortunate to have made genuine friends in the entertainment industry. Outside of work, we discuss her daughter, her family, and everything. I know how nice she is. Therefore, she deserves a good family life, and I believe she is an encouragement to any woman who wishes to start a family,” said Rhea.

Rhea also delivered an uplifting Women's Month speech. In part, she said: "Use your heart to serve others and inspire them to pursue their aspirations."

Maja endorsed Blanc Set, a top-selling skincare set that includes Tretinoin (acne treatment) and Hydroquinone (hyperpigmentation treatment).
