Teacher, dentist fatally shot in Abra

BANGUED, Abra – A lone gunman shot and killed a teacher and a dentist in Zone 6, this capital town, on Wednesday night, March 26.

Police identified the victims as dentist Dr. Francisco Beleno Beria Jr. and teacher Odilon Peru Peria.

Investigation said the victims and a companion, teacher Charlon Guliban Blaquera, 38, were seated on a table in a café when a man wearing a helmet appeared and Peria in the back. The gunman also shot Beria who died on the spot. Blaquera ran inside the café to hide.

Peria was taken to a hospital here where he was declared dead from multiple bullet wounds. Beria immediately died from a bullet wound in the left temple.

The Bangued Municipal Police Station is conducting follow-up investigation and pursuit operations against the suspect.
