The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) donated relief items to the victims of the fire that hit a residential area in Parañaque City.

In a statement, MIAA said it turned over 500 repacked eco-bags containing assorted items, including used clothes, bags, shoes, slippers, and clothing for children and adults to the local authorities for distribution to at least 465 individuals displaced by the blaze.

MIAA said the items were sourced from the airport’s lost and found inventory under Memorandum Circular No. 05, Series of 2021 which states that: “After the lapse of the six (6) months retention period, the unclaimed items shall be donated to charitable institutions and/or MIAA-sponsored outreach programs.”

The turnover ceremony was held at Aratelis II covered court, Masville, and was attended by members of the MIAA Lingap Kapwa Task Force, along with Barangay Officials and Homeowners Association (HOA).
