DSWD-6 Regional Director Arwin Razo signed  memorandums of agreement (MOAs) for the Pag-Abot Program and Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) with Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas.

The Pag-Abot Program has a P2-million grant for the proposed water refilling station in Barangay San Isidro, a relocation site in Jaro District.

Pag-Abot is a program under the DSWD Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS). Its beneficiaries are families who are being reintegrated back into communities after living for years as informal settlers.

“The Pag-Abot program will provide benefits not only to the reintegrated families but also to the whole community,” said Razo.

The SFP has P22.8-million funding to feed 7,611 children in Iloilo City aged  two to five years who are in public daycare centers.

Razo said the SFP will feed children for 120 days starting April and ends in November.
