Cops seize almost P6-M worth of marijuana kush in Pampanga

Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine National Police (PNP) seized around P5.9 million worth of high grade marijuana in a controlled delivery operation in Clarkfield, Pampanga.

Police Col. Rolando Cuya, Jr., officer-in-charge of the PNP-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG), said the operation stemmed from coordination with other law enforcement agencies about a parcel containing suspected marijuana kush.

The parcel was shipped from Thailand to a certain Paul from Albay province.

Cuya said PNP-DEG agents then went to the area  at around 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, and resulted in the confiscation of the parcel containing 3,896 grams of suspected marijuana Kush with an estimated value of P5.89 million. 

“The working relationship of all operating agencies is essential to the fulfilment of anti-illegal drugs campaign of our government,” said Cuya, adding that the operation is an effort of Clark Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK-IADITG) in which the PNP DEG is among the members. 

He said the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
