Stolen SUV recovered in Rizal


The Cainta Municipal Police Station and Rizal Highway Patrol personnel retrieved a stolen vehicle in Barangay Mahabang Parang, Angono, Rizal on Monday, March 24.

Police said the incident occurred on Sunday, March 23, when the SUV was taken by a robber in Barangay San Isidro, Cainta, Rizal.

The victim, identified as "Chris," 38, said an unidentified suspect broke into his home by forcibly opening a glass sliding door while he was asleep.

The suspect stole two helmets, a laptop, a television, and two speakers, with a total estimated value of P278,000, before fleeing in the victim’s SUV.

Authorities are conducting a follow-up investigation to identify the suspect and recover the stolen belongings.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office has urged the public to provide any information that could assist in solving the case.

The recovered vehicle was placed under the custody of the Highway Patrol Team - Rizal for proper documentation and disposition. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
