Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar unveiled the “Vice Mayor’s Gallery” featuring portraits of the city's previous and current vice mayors at the second floor of the Las Piñas City Hall on Tuesday, March 25.

Aguilar said the unveiling of the gallery is part of the celebrations of the city’s 118th founding and 28th cityhood anniversary on March 27.

Tourism and Cultural Office (LPTCO) Chief Paul Alhjay San Miguel and his staff did an extensive research on the works of the city’s vice mayors in helping the city mayors in various projects and other activities in making Las Piñas one of the progressive cities in the National Capital Region.

The mayor said the week-long celebration kicked off during the flag raising ceremony on Monday, March 24, where she recalled key moments in the city’s development, including its separation from Parañaque in 1907 under Philippine Commission Act No. 1625, and its formal declaration as a highly urbanized city in 1997 through Republic Act No. 8251.

Aguilar said it also highlighted the importance of remembering the city’s roots and legislative milestones that shaped Las Piñas into the growing and self-sustaining community that it is today.
