Javi Gomez de Liaño caught fire from deep to lift the Anyang JKJ Red Boosters past the Goyang Sono Skygunners, 93-84, for their fifth straight win in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Tuesday, March 25.

Fueled by an 87-84 escape over Ulsan, the Red Boosters shifted to higher gears in the early part of the first half where they unleashed a 29-10 spurt for a 31-12 lead which they maintained to keep Kevin Quiambao and the Skygunners behind.
De Liaño, a former University of the Philippines Maroon, ignited Anyang's shooting spree as he drilled five triples to finish with 17 points on top of eight rebounds in almost 35 minutes of action.
It was De Liaño’s third consecutive game with a double-digit scoring and also his best as a Red Booster, who also got ample support from Park Ji-Hoon (20), Deonte Burton (14), and Byun Jun-hyung (10).
Quiambao, on the other hand, went all around with 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block which all went to waste as Goyang saw its two-game winning streak end.
Those numbers from Quiambao marked his 15th double-digit scoring effort in 16 games.
The Red Boosters climbed up in the standings after clinching their 22nd victory against 27 losses at sixth while the Skygunners stayed at ninth with a 16-32 tally.
Meanwhile, JD Cagulangan and the Suwon KT Sonicboom shut down the Seoul Samsung Thunders, 72-55, to secure their second straight win.
Despite struggling offensively with only a three-pointer under his name, Cagulangan made sure he contributed to other departments as he hauled six rebounds and dished out six assists.
