An evening filled with music, nostalgia, and heartfelt moments with your favorite sessionistas Ice Seguerra, Nyoy Volante, Sitti, Duncan Ramos, Princess Velasco, Kean Cipriano, and Juris will return for "Love, Sessionistas: Day 2" at The Theater at Solaire in Parañaque City on April 4.

"Love, Sessionistas" is a love letter to the fans who have supported the Sessionistas since their beginnings in ASAP’s 2009 "Pwesto" segment.

Over the years, this phenomenal group has captured hearts with its soulful renditions, unmatched chemistry, and personal connection to its audience.

Now, they’re back to reliving the magic, performing their greatest hits and timeless OPM classics and sharing intimate stories about their journeys—onstage and off.

"Yung pagkanta nagagawa namin individually pero what makes me say yes to this group is parang hindi ako napapagod kapag kasama ko sila. Para lang kaming nakatambay tapos kakanta kami. Ganun siya eh. (We perform individually, but I say yes to this group because I don't feel tired with them. It's like we're hanging out, and then we sing. That's how it is)," said Ice when asked what makes the group click during a media conference recently at the Fire and Ice office in Quezon City.

Sitti, a talented performer in the production, shared her happiness about working with humble people who don't have big egos. She enjoys collaborating with those who focus on teamwork and creativity instead of personal recognition.

"Wala silang mga ego at all even from the very beginning na nakatrabaho ko sila from 2009," (They don't have egos at all even from the very beginning that I worked with them in 2009)," Sitti said.

The Sessionistas are more than just friends; they are a close-knit family united by their love for music, friendship, and their fans.

"Love, Sessionistas" is a heartfelt tribute that honors their shared journey and highlights each member's growth in their musical story.

Ice reflects, “More than the singing, it's the friendship na nabuo namin on and off
stage.”

For Juris, it’s the camaraderie that stands out: “Early 2009 na nagsimula yung Sessionistas. What I like about being part of the group is that on and off stage, we are having fun. We support each other, yun yung gusto ko.”

As Nyoy puts it, “We always inspire one another. There's this weird, like entity that we become kapag magkakasama kami. You have to see it. When we perform, we become something else.”

Kean Cipriano adds, “Para kaming iba't ibang mutants na pinagsama-sama. Very humbling yung experience sa Sessionistas kasi alam ko kapag sumasalang ako kasama ko sila, hindi siya tungkol sakin eh. It's about the music, it's about the message. (We're like different mutants put together. The experience with Sessionistas was very humbling because I knew when I was performing with them, it wasn't about me. It's about the music, it's about the message.)

Sitti shares her gratitude for the bond they’ve built: “Mararamdaman mo yung pag-ibig tsaka yung suporta. It’s a once-in-a-musical-lifetime thing. I’m so thankful for all of the hours that we waited together rin sa dressing room. Home away from home.”

Duncan highlights their humor and diversity: “Yung wit tsaka yung humor sa relationship namin is sobrang present. We really come from different genres — so different personalities, different characters as one.”

For Princess, the friendships are lifelong: “Alam namin kung kailangan mo ng advice or comfort, or maramdaman lang na andiyan kami para sa’yo. These are friendships that I formed na lifelong na.”

Liza Diño, CEO of Fire and Ice Media, said: “These seven artists are some of the best in the country, each with their unique sound and genre. But when they come together, it’s like magic — they become a band that’s truly one in heart and soul. That energy is something fans will feel on stage.”

The Sessionistas, a collective of experienced musicians and artists, generously impart their wisdom to emerging talents, whether part of a group or pursuing solo careers.

They offer essential insights into navigating the complexities of the music industry, from refining one’s craft to developing a unique sound. Their guidance not only promotes skill development but also instills confidence and resilience in those who are just beginning their artistic journeys.

"I just realized you should keep doing your thing to be in this business. And the right time will come when the light will shine on you. Kapag naging busy ka na sa mga gig mo, doon mo mata-track na okay ka na. Take it step by step. Just keep going," says Duncan.

Ice answers: "If you are going solo, authenticity is important. Sometimes, there may be an illusion that we must sound like this or like that. But this group proves that you don't have to sound alike to sing beautiful songs. As a group, what I like is, of course, kung ano ang maiaambag mo sa grupo; at the same time, the respect is there. When we are all together, ang ego ay iniiwan sa labas. That's why hanggang ngayon maayos pa rin kami. So ano man ang ilabas namin na kanta d'yan, masarap pakinggan. We will enjoy it. Yun ang nagba-bind namin.  (If you are going solo, authenticity is important. Sometimes, there may be illusions that we must sound like this or like that. But this group proves that you don't have to sound alike to sing beautiful songs. As a group, what I like is that you know what you can contribute to the group, and at the same time, there is respect. When we are all together, the ego is left out. That's why we are still doing well. So, no matter what song we release, it's good to listen to. We will enjoy it. That's what binds us.)

"When you say solo, kanya-kanyang endeavor na yan eh. As an artist, dapat maayos kang katrabaho kung sa TV man or concerts. Kung maayos ka sa trabaho, tatagal ka sa industry. Talent is secondary. Number 1 is maayos ka na katrabaho. That's the factor they will hire you again. Being in a group, hangga't gusto, it will work. Kapag ayaw na ninyo sa isa't isa, hindi na talaga nagwowork pa yun. Maraming group na nagiging grupo dahil kailangan nila. That's fine naman. But if you want to enjoy what you're doing, you must be friends with everyone. That's why we click, prosper, and be happy. (When you say solo, it's your endeavor. As an artist, you must work well with others on TV or in concerts. If you work well, you'll last in the industry. Talent is secondary. Number 1 is to work well with others. That's the factor they will use to hire you again. Being in a group, as long as you want, it will work. When you don't like each other, it doesn't work anymore. Many groups become groups because they need them. That's fine. But if you want to enjoy what you're doing, you have to be friends with everyone. That's why we click, prosper, and be happy)," Nyoy says.

Sitti adds: "As a solo artist, sometimes, parang sa pananamit, you must look your best, which suits you. Just like in music, don't be afraid to experiment, even if that's a sound that nobody can understand. Continue doing it, continue singing. Don't give up on yourself. Okay lang naman ma-late minsan huwag lang sobra. Be professional."

Princess comments:  "We realized ang daming talented artists. Maraming tayong talented artists sa PIlipinas. But that's not the only thing that will determine success. Hindi lahat ng may talent nabibigyan ng chance. Siguro, if you were given the chance or opportunity and pushed to this path, kapag nandoon ka na, do your best and improve your craft. Learn from your mentors and peers. When I work with this group, they are so generous with their tips sa mga fellow artists. Don't be afraid to ask for help and absorb. Respect also the people in the industry. Pakikisama is also important. Sana maisip nila na hindi lang talaga talent, but how you navigate the complicated intricacies of the industry. (There are many talented artists in the Philippines. But that's not the only thing that will determine success. Not all talented people are given a chance. Maybe, if you were given the chance or opportunity and pushed to this path when you're there, do your best and improve your craft. You can learn from your mentors and peers. When I work with this group, they are so generous with their tips to fellow artists. Don't be afraid to ask for help and absorb. Respect also the people in the industry. Collaboration is also important. I hope they realize that it's not just talent but how you navigate the complicated intricacies of the industry.)

"The way I see it, if it's meant to be, it will happen. That's how I experienced it. Whether there's no one watching or a sold-out show, kasi I have experienced na rin na wala talagang nanood, just do your best. Swerte lang din kami kasi marami talagang magagaling na singers that's why I always say if it's for you, it's for you. (Do your best if there's no one watching or a sold-out show because I have also experienced that no one watched. We're also lucky because there are good singers. That's why I always say if it's for you, it's for you)," says Juris.
