BAGUIO CITY – An active policeman and three individuals were arrested and 20 kilos of suspected shabu valued at P136 million were seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Dontogan here on Tuesday morning, March 25.

A POLICE officer and his three companions were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Baguio City on March 25.
The suspects were identified as Police Executive Master Sgt. Palmer Nankihid Moling, Mary Ann Teope Ty, 49; Mark Leonard Laurente Teope, 38, and Adriano Basallo Soriano, 37.
PDEA-Cordillera Regional Director Derrick Arnold said the policeman is assigned to the Baguio City Police Office.
Also seized from the suspects were a 9mm pistol, identification cards, and a vehicle.
The suspects face charges for violating Section 5 (Selling of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II, of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
BCPO chief Police Col. Ruel Tagel said Moling’s arrest does not shake the Philippine National Police commitment to cleaning up and upholding the highest standards of integrity within the organization.
He said the BCPO will remain steadfast in its stance against illegal activities within its ranks, regularly implementing Police Information and Continuing Education (PICE), conducting random drug testing, and enforcing certification of non-involvement in illegal activities.
"The BCPO will not tolerate illegal activities within our ranks. We remain resolute in our dedication to ensuring that lawbreakers are held accountable. This operation sends a clear message of our determination to uphold public trust and strengthen the professionalism of our police force."
