Malacañang has echoed Senate President Francis Escudero's sentiment over the constant appeal of the Duterte camp to the country's security force in every issue involving their family.

Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro pointed out that the country's police force and military must serve the public, and not only the Dutertes.
The military, the police must serve the nation, they are not solely for the Duterte family)," Castro said in a Palace briefing on Tuesday, March 25.
The Palace official backed Escudero's statement that the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) should not be dragged into political issues involving their family.
"Tama naman po (That's correct). The public servant should be apolitical. They should not be dragged over these personal issues especially of the Duterte’s," Castro said.
We should not appeal, constantly call on the military, the police just to grant the wishes of a particular individual or a particular family)," Castro added.
Escudero made the statement after Vice President Sara Duterte said the military should explain why it allowed the Philippine National Police (PNP) to be in control of Villamor Air Base during the arrest of her father, former president Rodrigo Duterte.
