My guesting on Dimples Romana’s new morning show, “Gud Morning Kapatid,” on TV5 recently went viral. The segment is called “Balik Alindog,” which translates to "return to charm" or "regain beauty."

This reflects the show's mission to empower viewers with knowledge and tools to enhance their health and appearance.

By featuring medical experts and covering various topics, 'Balik-Alindog' is an informative resource for individuals seeking to improve their overall well-being. The segment host, Dr. Richard Gadiaza, invited me and my beauty doctor, Cyril Mitchel Agan, MD of Lift Aesthetic Clinic in BGC and Pasig.

We discussed the non-surgical procedure called the  “Aptos thread lift” that he did on my face making me look ten years younger. It went trending because so many women want a non-surgical procedure to replace the most dreaded facelift, which makes you undergo a knife.

But there are also women who are afraid of pain, even “Daniela Mondragon”(Dimples’ character in Kadenang Ginto), who is not scared to walk in a designer red dress with Valentino red heels and a red designer luggage in the slums of Manila admittedly is afraid of any kind of procedure because of the pain. But seeing the results in her “Ate Giselle”, she did not hesitate to endorse the procedure to her viewers for as long as they didn’t have to borrow money to afford the procedure.

During the break, I congratulated Dimples on her new morning show and told her that this transition showcases her versatility as an entertainer and is a testament to her unwavering commitment to personal growth.

The Dreamscape actress tells Gossip Girl that the journey into the realm of broadcasting is deeply personal, “Ate G, coming from you, I am honored to accept such a compliment. Sa totoo lang scary siya kasi everything is live. But  I see this show as a divine gift for God and a chance to empower women watching all over the Philippines. Kaya I really try my best to deliver and study my guests and topics. Gagalingan ko na (I will make the best of this) because this is a childhood dream. During my elementary years, I was an active participant in campus journalism competitions because I had a dream of becoming a newscaster.  Sa totoo lang, transitioning from acting to hosting a morning news program is very challenging for me. I am used to a script, so I kinda felt like a ‘fish out of water’ at first with the fast-paced, unscripted environment of live TV. But I was determined to grow, so I embraced this new role wholeheartedly. To be honest, I still have feelings of inadequacy at times, but I view these feelings as opportunities for personal and professional development," the multi-faceted actress tells Gossip Girl.

I told her to rebuke these feelings of inadequacy. As a guest, I saw how brilliant and spontaneous she was. I saw how well-prepared and informed she was on the topics and guest backgrounds; she asked insightful questions and kept the conversation flowing smoothly with energy and positivity.

Dimples is a host full of enthusiasm who maintains her vibrant energy and upbeat tone to keep viewers engaged and excited. More importantly, she knows how to connect with her audience using relatable language and expressions to make them feel included.
