As the newly established autonomous government braced for its first parliamentary elections in October, President Marcos urged the newly appointed members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) to uphold their responsibilities with integrity as the aspirations of their people rest on their hands.

Marcos said this as he administered the oath of the newly appointed BTA members in Malacañan on Monday, March 24.
In his speech, the President emphasized the critical role the officials will play in realizing the aspirations of the Bangsamoro people.
"You will carry the aspirations of those who have longed for peace and self-governance," he said.
"You will be instrumental to create a future built by and for the Bangsamoro people," he added.
Marcos underscored the importance of integrity and accountability in public service, reminding the appointees that their names and the hopes of the constituents are at stake.
"Huwag nating makakalimutan na ang inyong tungkulin ay para sa isang mas makatarungan at mas maunlad na Bangsamoro (Let us not forgot that your duty is fore a more just and prosperous Bangsamoro)," he said.
President Marcos likewise reaffirmed his government's dedication to the Bangsamoro peace process.
"We have collectively achieved remarkable progress in the Bangsamoro peace process," he said.
It is our shared responsibility to protect these gains and to ensure its (Bangsamoro) uninterrupted advancement," he added.
The Chief Executive then called for unity amid the diversity in the country.
"Let not our diversity and difference be a hindrance to our solidarity," he said.
"Let us remember that at the center of our national identity is a common thread that binds us: our longing for peace and for progress," he added.
According to Malacañang, the event highlighted the solidarity and support between the Bangsamoro and the Philippine Government in building upon the gains of the peace process and ensuring a prosperous future for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
